It is easier to ensure uniformity by using fixtures in the same color tone throughout the examination and treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the photometric and electrotechnical properties of portable inspection luminaires, international standards require a color rendering of at least <strong>85 CRI<\/strong> and luminaires with a color temperature between <strong>3,000 K<\/strong> and <strong>6,700 K<\/strong> are preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Lighting values for adjacent areas or rooms should not vary by more than a factor of 10. Otherwise, additional compliance areas with relevant lighting should be provided to create an appropriate compliance time for people moving between areas.<\/p>\n<p>If special <strong>examination room lighting<\/strong> is required, e.g. for general ophthalmological examinations such as external eye examinations or vision tests, as well as for treatment rooms where only very low lighting levels are permitted depending on the type of examination.
